JooDee Standard Series JST-36 “Electric Custom”

The Standard Series is just below the Artist Series in terms of price point. This model is standard Stratocater for pickups and controls - three single coil pickups, five-way pickup selector switch, one volume and two tone controls. JooDee describes the model (translated from Japanese) as having a white ash body and a one-piece detachable maple neck.

As you can see in the pictures, unlike the Yamaki YST Series, the truss rod adjustment is at the headstock. The headstock says “JooDee Electric Custom.”

Available finishes were Yellow Sunburst (YS), White (WH), Black (B), and Ivory (I).

Tremolo is described as having a 10* pitch and has a different construction compared to the JooDee Artist Series or the Yamaki YST Series which have a metal “block” under the bridge plate and a 11* pitch. A rosewood fingerboard is not listed as an option.

Period pricing in Japan was ¥36,000.
