GC and DC Classical
Top Row: DC-300, GC 30; Bottom Row: GC 20, DC-300
There appears to be two lines of Classical guitars. The GC series “Concert Guitars” (which can be found branded as either Yamaki or Daion) and the DC series (which look to be a Daion specific design).
DC-200 specifications are: Cedar top, rosewood back and sides, mahogany neck, rosewood bridge and fingerboard, bone nut and saddle, and wood binding.
DC-300 specifications are: Solid cedar top, mahogany back and sides, mahogany neck, rosewood bridge, ebonized fingerboard, bone nut and saddle, and wood binding.
The GC Series does not have visible serial numbers. The DC Series serial number is on the label visible through the sound hole. The GC label says they are manufactured by Yamaki Musical Instruments Co Ltd. Like the HH-555 Headhunter, the DC Series label has the signature of Hirotsugu Teradaira, the designer of many Daion models.
